Gods Gift

The demons are pacing at the edge of Gods shield

To many to count, like the blades of grass in the field

They circle and they search for a way to enter in

Gods promise assures you, he’ll protect you till the end

The shield that God offers, is only as strong as your love

Your love for the Lord, the Lord God above

Never turn away from the gifts God offers you

His protection is unending, and he will see that you get through

The terror that lurks outside of Gods holy shield

Looks to you and I, like a life filled with thrill

It looks like milk and honey, it try’s to call you out of the fold

A wolf in sheep’s clothing, wanting to steal your soul

Everything that Satan, has to offer you is just dream

He was cast down out of heaven for the evilness of his schemes

God knew that Satan, would have the power to deceive

So God gave us his shield that is if we believe

That the shield that God offers is his everlasting love

The shield is there for all who pray to God above

Never turn away from the gifts that God offers you

His protection is unending, and he will see that you get through
