The Prayer
When its time to pray, to the Lord, God above
Prayers are only heard, when you pray with your love
Your heart must be open, for the Lord to hear your prayer
Then you can walk on sacred ground, and you’ll know he is there
Speaking words from your lips, will not work without your love
The Lord requires all your heart, when you pray to God above
You must pray from deep within, the very depth of you soul
And God will open up his heart, and take you in his fold
Be careful of the prayers that come from lips alone
Satan will do anything he can to try and steer you wrong
The love of God is the answer, to every one of your prayers
An open heart, undying love, and you’ll know he is there
