I Pray for One more Day

Lord how I pray for things that I need

At the dawn of each day, nothing changes that I can see

I feel as though my prayers have all been in vain

And I wonder if my Lord, even knows my name

Then I realize that you gave me one more day

Of blessed life to live, Lord show me the way

Forgive me Lord above, for the selflessness I pray

Lord God above, just give me one more day

Troubles can have their way, I will not be afraid

Lord I will pray to you, for just one more day

You’ve given me life, and I have wasted it away

Lord God above, I pray for one more day

Lord Give me one more day, Lord show me the way

Let me leave behind me the burdens of this day

I will sing to you for this life that you gave

Lord God above, I pray for one more day
