 The Covenant of the Ark

Way back long ago, in the days of old

God commanded, build him a box, plated with gold

Inside place the stones, with Gods laws written on

To teach the people, that are, within Gods fold

The Ark of the Covenant, protected by the Lord

Those who failed to worship, were consumed by the sword

The Covenant of the Ark, Gods beacon when times got dark

Protecting all the people who worship the Lord

The Ark of the Covenant, had both Gods wrath and joy

If you fell from Gods grace, you would surely be destroyed

But if you kept Gods commandments, in you heart and in your soul

God would take you in, and keep you safely in his fold

The Ark of the Covenant, protected by the Lord
