The Stocking Written by Terry Thomas 11/15/2016
Gather round yee Christians and help me pray
For The Lord, The Lord thy God was born today
He carried the cross of our sins to his grave
And all he asked in return, was that we prayed
Remember when the shopping is all done
Gifts you now have for everyone
As you look at all the stockings that you’ve hung
Don’t forget to hang the most important one
The stockings are hung except for one
Nothing do we offer for what he’s done
God gave his life so that we would be free
God took away the sins from you and me
God is our savior, our guiding light
Fill his stocking with your prayers, every night
So hang the Lords stocking, hang it high
Fill it with your prayers when you pass by
Leave behind the troubles that bother you
In his stocking, leave it up the whole year through
God is our Sheppard, our guiding light
Fill his stocking with your prayers, every night
Leave his stocking up the whole year through
For our prayers is all he ask of me and you
