How can one explain the dog they love so
No matter what we do, they are always ready to go
We yell at them, scold them and make them behave
The next morning they are right beside you, for it is a new day
All if forgotten in their small little mind
They just want to be petted, and loved from time to time
The protect you with their life if need be
They are never embarrassed, and they tell you what they see
Their ears tell of danger, if it comes around
Their bark and their growl, is their defensive sound
No matter what is going on, in the life that you live
They can sense and feel it, and their love is what they give
Be morning or night, they are overjoyed at seeing you
Why can't we learn to love like that too.
